This looks like a reading list from the Schole Sisters! Ha. So many great books here, many I have read, and many I have yet to read.

They have impacted me for sure! I think their podcast was where I first heard about Poetic Knowledge by James Taylor, though I didn't get to read it for a couple more years. I also had the privilege of teaching a class, Consider the Cause, with Brandy Vencel. I am so grateful for all of those ladies influence on this generation of homeschoolers!

Great list! I also read The Lifegiving Home in 2016. It most definitely catapulted my ideals in this direction! Sally’s podcast was a constant back in the early days of motherhood.

The Well Trained Mind was the first book I read specifically about education and forming a plan for our homeschool. Since then, I’ve loved Cindy Rollins, Sarah Mackenzie, Karen Glass, Karen Andreola, Doug Wilson…and others I can’t remember on the spot.

Thanks for a great article. You gave me some new book recommendations!

I was just saying to some friends last night that Sally Clarkson brought me through the classical wardrobe without ever mentioning Charlotte Mason or classical education by name.

So many good authors you've been reading, and I hope you enjoy the ones you grab from this list!

Thank you for sharing this list! I've read a few of these, but there are so many more that I haven't read and I am looking forward to getting a start on those. I felt a great pull towards all of this when I first read The Lifegiving Home(and others by Sally) back in 2016, but I never really knew where to go with it until listening to you and Autum on her YouTube channel.

Sally’s books were very formational to me in the early years of motherhood. She really captures the power of atmosphere! I am delighted to be a light-post pointing you where to press deeper into these life-giving ideas!
